Führleine oder City-Leine? Was passt besser zu mir?

Beides hat seinen Platz – es hängt von deinem Alltag ab.

  • fix kurz, maximale Nähe in engen Situationen (Innenstadt, Aufzug, Café). Null Umstellen, sofort übersichtlich.

  • drei nutzbare Längen, auf Wunsch hands-free tragbar, zwei Karabiner für flexible Führung (z. B. Geschirr vorn/hinten). Ideal, wenn du zwischen Straße, Park und Training wechselst.


Kurzfazit: Du willst nur eine Leine? Nimm die Führleine – kurz eingestellt ersetzt sie eine City-Leine, plus Reserven für Radius und Training.

Bleibt die vollgeflochtene Führleine in Bewegung ruhig oder neigt das Geflecht zum Aufdrehen?

Die vollgeflochtene Bauart läuft sehr ruhig. Das Geflecht verteilt Zug über viele Stränge, dadurch entstehen weniger Torsionsspitzen. In Kombination mit 360°-Wirbelkarabinern entkoppeln sich Drehungen am Hund vom Leinenband. Aufdrehen und Knotenbildung sind nahezu ausgeschlossen.

Tipps: Wirbel sauber halten (Sand/Haare entfernen), Leinenverlauf gerade führen, bei Bedarf kurz „ausdrillen“ (Leine locker hängen lassen, Karabiner frei drehen).

Eignet sich die vollgeflochtene Führleine für hands-free Spaziergänge und schnelle Längenwechsel?

Klar! Das Geflecht liegt angenehm am Körper, die drei Ringe erlauben schnelles Umklipsen zwischen kurz/mittel/lang.

So richtest du hands-free ein: Leine über Schulter/Brust legen, Körper-Schlaufe auf Hüfthöhe schließen, Hund auf die abgewandte Seite führen, eine Hand bleibt für Signale an der Leine.

Wann stelle ich die vollgeflochtene Führleine kurz, mittel oder lang – und warum?

Die Länge ist dein Führungswerkzeug. Das geflochtene Leder liefert dabei sehr direktes Feedback in der Hand. Stell um, wonach die Situation verlangt:

  • Nutze die kurze Einstellung für Start-/Stopp-Phasen, enge Passagen, Bordsteine, Türen, Aufzüge. Der Hund bleibt körpernah, Signale kommen ohne Verzögerung an. Das runde Geflecht liegt satt in der Hand und verhindert unnötiges Spiel.
  • Ideal für Begegnungen, ruhiges Gehen und Orientierung. Der Hund bekommt etwas Radius, du hältst aber einen klaren Führpunkt. In dieser Länge sind Richtungswechsel geschmeidig, das Geflecht bleibt torsionsarm und kippt nicht.
  • Für Park/Wiese, Schnüffelpausen und Impulskontrolle. Mehr Leine bedeutet mehr Information – das gleichmäßige Flechtbild überträgt Zug fein dosiert, ohne „Gummiband-Effekt“. Achte darauf, die Leine aktiv zu führen, damit sie nicht am Boden schleift.
